CULTURE FOR ALL – THE DANUBE AS A CULTURAL BRIDGE

10TH INTERNATIONAL DANUBE CONFERENCE ON CULTURE

 


Call for Participation

Museum of Vojvodina, Novi Sad, Vojvodina, Serbia, 23-25 April 2023


We kindly invite culture, art and cultural heritage professionals, operators, experts, project managers and artists from the Danube region to submit an application for the 10th International Danube Conference on Culture 2023 named

 CULTURE FOR ALL – The Danube as a Cultural Bridge

The conference will be held in the Museum of Vojvodina in Novi Sad (Serbia) from the 23rd to 25th of April, 2023.

The general objectives of the Danube Conferences on Culture are:

  • To inspire cultural operators and artists coming from the Danube region
  • To encourage partnerships and cooperation
  • To offer practical examples and space for discussions around the conference themes
  • To develop problem-solution thinking in the field of culture

The main topics of the Conference 2023 are:

  1. Culture everywhere (old and new, formal and informal spaces for culture)
  2. New technologies in culture (AI, VR, digital, virtual, future concepts…)
  3. Culture for all (old and new target groups, audience development)
  4. Sustainable culture (environmental aspects, resilience questions, the legacy of projects, festivals…)

You can apply as a conference participant or even as an active workshop speaker in the Danube Café section with a topic or project related to the themes listed above. Please fill in the appropriate sessions. Note that both ways of participation in the conference are subject of a selection procedure managed by the organisers.

The language of the conference is English. Translation will not be provided.

Working group 3 (Small showroom): Culture everywhere

14:00 – 15:00 Lunch break – Muzej Vojvodine, Congress hall

15:00-15:10 EU Strategy for the Danube Region–PA3 (Culture and Tourism): Latest developments and news( by Irina Cozma-coordination team Pa3-EUSDR

15:00-15:10 Danube Small Project Fund (DSPF): Presentation of the awarded projects of the 2nd Call

16:30 Panel discussion with the DSPF partners & announcement of the 3rd DSPF Call

17:00 – 18:00: DANUBIA performance (by Ramona Poenaru & Gaël Chaillat)

20:00 – 22:00: Night walk with a tourist guide through Novi Sad and the underground fortress
