During the 12th Steering meeting (16.06.2016, Ruse, Bulgaria) Priority Area 3 Steering group members took a decision that Coordinators and SG members will be supported by a Joint Technical Secretariat (JTS). Operational Guidelines for the functioning of the JTS were also approved during the meeting.
The Secretariat is situated in the city of Ruse, Bulgaria and its office was provided by the Municipality of Ruse. It operates in English and is under direct supervision of the coordinating Ministries – Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria and Ministry of Regional Development, Public Administration and European Funding of Romania.
Pilot phase will ran until 31 December 2016 and was financed through the Technical Assistance Agreement for EUSDR – PAC – Financing 2015/2016. Two experts of the JTS were hired until mid 2016 – end of 2016. Contracts of the two experts expired at the end of 2016.
Functioning of the JTS for the period 2017 – 2019 will be provided under the PAC support project DTP-PAC1-PA3-03 Culture & Tourism, funded under Danube 2014-2020 INTERREG Programme.
New selection procedure for experts in the JTS will be carried out in the second half of 2017.

PA3 Joint Technical Secretariat
