July 16, 2019in 2019 0 Likes

The EUSDR Operational Evaluation was finalized, the main focus falling on governance aspects, communication and stakeholder involvement of the EUSDR. The operational evaluation measured the strategic dimension, governance dimension (operational level) and cross-cutting and transversal issues.

The EUSDR Operational Evaluation was launched in spring 2019 and mainly focuses on governance aspects, communication and stakeholder involvement of the EUSDR, thus on processes and workflows among the key EUSDR actors as well as towards key target groups of the Priority Areas. In close cooperation with the specifically installed Steering Group DANUVAL – composed of selected representatives of the EUSDR core stakeholders – DSP assigned an evaluation consortium led by METIS Ltd. with conducting the Operational Evaluation, based upon desk research, an online survey and semi-structured telephone interviews. This Operational Evaluation constitutes a first contribution to evaluation and monitoring of the Strategy. For instance, the new EUSDR monitoring system, which will be launched by end 2019, is intended to provide a solid basis for tracing functionalities, evolvements and achievements both in operational and in policy terms.
