On 30 September 2019, a conference on the creation of new Cultural Routes in the Danube Region was held in Sofia, Bulgaria. The event was organized by the Ministry of Tourism of Bulgaria as co-coordinator of Priority Area 3 “To Promote Culture, Tourism and People to People Contacts” of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region.

Mrs. Nikolina Angelkova, Minister of Tourism of Bulgaria, Mr. Boil Banov, Minister of Culture of Bulgaria, Her Royal Highness Dana Firas, Princess of Jordan and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Cultural Heritage, and Mrs. Constanze Metzger, Routes4U Senior Project Officer, participated in the event. The roundtables focused on the development of two Cultural Routes projects, the “European Route of Saints Cyril and Methodius” and “Iron Age Route”.
